Invitation for a Press Conference on MB Military Tribunals

Sawaseya Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Center invites you to attend a press  conference on Sunday to announce its report about Military Tribunals against Muslim Brotherhood leaders.

 

The 533 pages-long report shows the developments in the military case in which the Brotherhood received prison sentences, the legal violations, and the political context for referring the civilians to exceptional courts. The report also authenticates the engagement of the civil society and mass media in the trial as well as the testimonials made by the political detainees and activists.

 

Further, the report addresses the humanitarian, legal, and constitutional dimensions of the case, and compares the verdicts to previous ones. It studies the impact of external factors on the relation between the regime and the Brotherhood and predicting the nature of such relation in the future.

 

The press conference will be held on Sunday afternoon, August 17, 2008 at the center premises at apart. 50, 10^th floor, 2^nd Iran St. Duqqi.

 

Copies of the report will be distributed to the journalists during the press conference.
