IOA extends solitary confinement of Saadat, Salama for six months

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM,  The Israeli Beer Sheba court renewed the solitary confinement of Ahmed Saadat, the secretary general of the popular front of the liberation of Palestine, and Hasan Salama, a commander of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas, for six more months.

Both have been held in isolation for years at the pretext of the so-called security files against them.

The campaign for solidarity with Saadat said in a statement on Tuesday that he decided against appointing a lawyer, saying that he was convinced that the isolation decision was already taken.

Saadat told the court that he does not recognize its jurisdiction and that his isolation was in retaliation to his political position and to his stand regarding the military court.
