IOA notifies Jerusalemite of intention to flatten his home
The Israeli occupation authority has notified Hamada Mahfouz that his building in Beit Hanina suburb in occupied Jerusalem would be demolished for construction without permit, local sources said.
They added that the building was built in 1999 and all its 22 apartments were sold to Palestinian citizens. The sources noted that the building provides shelter for 250 citizens.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian youth near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil city on Wednesday evening at the pretext he was holding a knife.
The IOF soldiers arrested five Palestinians at the same pretext over the past couple of days.
In an unrelated development, the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced in Gaza that one of its cadres was killed in a “special mission”.
The armed wing said that Khaled Al-Ghalban was on a mission in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, on Thursday but would not elaborate further.
