IOF choppers, gunboats fire at civilian, police targets in Rafah
Fighters of the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, on Tuesday retaliated to IOF gunboat shelling at residential areas along the Rafah coast, southern Gaza, local sources reported. They told PIC correspondents that the gunboats were forced to retreat but the IOF choppers were summoned and they fired a missile at a position for the PA marine police.
The Qassam fighters also confronted the army choppers firing heavy machineguns at them, which forced them to leave the skies of the area.Meanwhile, the same armed wing claimed responsibility for firing three mortar shells at a group of IOF soldiers near Soufa crossing east of Rafah earlier Tuesday.
It said that the shelling was in retaliation to the incessant IOF incursions and murders in lines of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
