IOF escalates aggression on Gaza, launches 7 air raids

GAZA, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched seven aerial raids on the Gaza Strip before midnight Tuesday on the Egyptian-Palestinian borders and Gaza airport wounding three Palestinians.
Medical sources told PIC reporter in Rafah that medical teams evacuated three citizens after IOF F-16 warplanes bombed one of the tunnels east of Rafah crossing at the borders with Egypt.
The IOF warplanes launched five other raids on the devastated Gaza airport targeting the remains of buildings and deserted rooms in the airport that was the target of tens of IOF raids over the past few years.
The IOF spokesman claimed that the raids targeted two tunnels used for “smuggling”, adding that the raids were in retaliation to resistance rocket attacks on nearby settlements.
Meanwhile, IOF troops entered northern Gaza in the vicinity of Beit Hanun and Beit Lahia towns amidst random firing at dawn Wednesday.
Local sources said that four IOF tanks escorted a military bulldozer infiltrated 200 meters into the northern areas and damaged land lots.
The IOF shelling and incursion followed Netanyahu’s threat that the IOF would retaliate to the attempt by Hamas to send explosive floating barrels to Israeli coasts.
