IOF settlers burn 150 olive trees in Al-Khalil

Dozens of Israeli settlers raided the village of Sa’ir east of Al-Khalil district on Saturday burning tens of fruitful olive trees, local sources reported. They said that the settlers set fire to the trees on lands owned by two families near the settlement of Asfar, destroying 150 trees in the process. The sources charged that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) protected the settlers. Meanwhile, settlers in Ramallah district built a new settlement outpost near the city on Saturday night under the protection of IOF troops. Eyewitnesses said that the settlers wanted to block the building of a Palestinian housing project in the area and establish a settlement in its place.
