IOF troops arrest 10 foreign activists

AL-KHALIL, — Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested ten foreign activists east of Yatta village, south of Al-Khalil city, on Saturday night and blocked others from entering Beit Ummar village, north of the city.

Local sources said that the IOF troops arrested the ten foreigners while accompanying local farmers to their farms, which the IOF prevent them from tending. They added that the soldiers beat up a number of those foreigners before taking them away.

Other soldiers prevented foreign activists from entering Beit Ummar village at the pretext it was closed under military orders. The soldiers blocked the weekly anti-settlement march and closed the village’s entrances.

The soldiers fired teargas canisters at worshipers in the village’s main mosque causing breathing problems for many of them.

The soldiers have been closing the village’s entrances for three days, paralyzing car traffic in and out of it, and impeding movement of pedestrians.
