IOF troops kidnap Hamas spokesman five days after releasing him

IOF troops at dawn Wednesday kidnapped Sheikh Abdul Baset Al-Haj, the Hamas Movement”s former spokesman in Jenin, from his hometown Jalkamos only five days after releasing him.


Relatives of the Sheikh said that the occupation forces ordered him to surrender himself after encircling his home. They said that the new detention of the Sheikh shocked them because he had been released only a few days earlier.Sheikh Abdul Baset, 35, spent around nine years in occupation jails mostly under administrative detention, without charge or trial.


The IOF troops rounded up 10 Palestinians over the past 24 hours in various West Bank areas including a number of university students and an Islamic Jihad leader.Local sources in Nablus city said that the soldiers kidnapped Sheikh Yousef Al-Aref, 62, from his home in Rafidia suburb west of the city. He was released from occupation jails only two months ago after serving three years in captivity.
