IOF troops violently quell march, break hand of Palestinian youth

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) brutally dispersed a peaceful anti wall demonstration near Qalandia barrier breaking the hand of a Palestinian youth and hurting a number of foreign activists.

Palestinian sources reported that the IOF soldiers used indiscriminate force to break up the march, organized by popular anti wall and settlement committees, in which dozens of foreign activists, including a 90-member team from Spain, took part to protest the separation wall.

They said that the soldiers fired bullets and teargas at the marchers who responded throwing stones and empty bottles.

The sources noted that the soldiers detained nine demonstrators and closed the Qalandia barrier separating Jerusalem from Ramallah leading to long queues. Hundreds of civilians took to the streets to demonstrate against the closure of the vital barrier.
