Islamic-Christian front calls on Doha summit to discuss Zionist schemes in J’lem
The Islamic-Christian front for the defense of Jerusalem and its holy sites on Sunday called on the Arab summit held in Doha to take firm and urgent positions to confront the Zionist schemes aimed to judaize occupied Jerusalem.
In a letter addressed to the summit, the front warned that the IOA embarked over the past few years on stealing Jerusalem from its indigenous people, Christians and Muslims, noting that the most dangerous threats that Israel almost isolated Jerusalem from its Palestinian surrounding through the apartheid wall, completely controlled the holy city”s entrances and prevented the Palestinian citizens from entering.
The front also warned that there are schemes targeting the Arab presence directly and systematically in the holy city through withdrawing ID cards, barring Jerusalemites from building, demolishing their homes, displacing families, doubling taxation and confiscating lands.
It warned that the old city in Jerusalem, the Aqsa Mosque and all Islamic and Christian holy places are also threatened with demolition as a result of ongoing excavations carried out underground.
The front also appealed to the Arab summit to adopt resolutions that would end the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.
In the same context, Dr. Naji Shurrab, a professor of political sciences at the university of Al-Azhar in Gaza, underscored that many hot files would be on the table of the Arab summit held in Doha, expecting that this summit would only be a copy of previous summits as a result of the vulnerability of the regional Arab regimes and their inability to implement decisions.
Dr. Shurrab also stressed that the Arab system is too weak to implement any decision they take to end the siege on Gaza, so the Palestinians have to end their internal division and achieve reconciliation to end the blockade and this is what the summit is going to confirm.
