Israel escalates air strikes on Gaza, wounds two in night raids
RAFAH, — Israeli warplanes blasted targets in central and southern Gaza Strip before dawn Saturday wounding two citizens who were passing by one of those targets, medical sources reported.
Adham Abu Salmiya, the spokesman for medical services, told the PIC reporter that two Palestinians were hurt when Israeli warplanes targeted a training position for the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in central Gaza after midnight Friday.
He added that the targeted position was on the outskirts of the Nusseirat camp in central Gaza, noting that the strike caused a huge blast.
Meanwhile, sources in the national security told the PIC reporter that Israeli aerial raids also targeted two tunnels in Salam and Brazil suburbs south of Rafah.
They pointed out that the explosions jolted the surrounding areas and caused deafening sounds similar to the ones heard during the war on Gaza.
