Special forces affiliated with the Israeli prisons authority launched the largest search operation in a number of prisoners’ cells in the Hadarim, the prisoners’ studies center asserted on Thursday. Director of the center Ra’fat Hamdona reported in a statement that large numbers of special forces broke into nine cells in the prison’s third ward.
He added that the forces conducted a surprise and thorough search which lasted for almost 6 and a half hours.
The director revealed that the forces confiscated 11 mobile phones and punished the prisoners in the wards with one week of solitary confinement and a fine of almost 100 dollars.
