Israeli troops wound Palestinian child in Ommar town

A 10-year-old child was moderately wounded on Wednesday evening when he was shot by Israeli troops in Beit Ommar town, north of Al-Khalil city, who also kidnapped a young man from Yatta town in the same district.
Palestinian local sources said that a force of Israeli troops fired a barrage of rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas grenades at a gathering of Palestinians from Beit Ommar town as they were trying to reach Palestinian lands near the settlement of Karmi Tsur built on usurped lands.
The sources added that a child called Qusai Abu Hashim was wounded in his leg during confrontations in the area and was taken to Al-Khalil hospital.
The Israeli troops also reportedly kidnapped on the same day Hamza Houshiya, 32, from his home in Yatta town, south of Al-Khalil.
Three Palestinians yesterday sustained different injuries during similar clashes in Beit Ommar town that broke out after Israeli troops and armed settlers assaulted a farmer working his land near the settlement.
