Jail of MB Giza Detainees Prolonged 15 More days

The state security prosecution decided on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, to prolong the jail of 15 Muslim Brotherhood detainees in Giza for 15 days pending trial.


The detainees are:


-Abdul Salam Bashandi (Muslim Brotherhood candidate in 2005 legislative elections for Kerdasa).

-Yahya Rizk (from Kafr Gatati, a Sharia teacher in Al-Azhar).

-Mohamed Ibrahim (Mazghona).

-Abdul Nasser Abu Al Dahab .

-Ahmed Abdul Fattah (Al-Saf).

 -Hossam Shendi .

-Ashraf Eissa.

-Nasser Ramadan .

-Dr. Abdul Magid Omran (a pharmacist from Nahia).

-Dr. Alaa Muharram (ophthalmologist).

-Ahmed Abdul Wahab Dallah (teacher ).

-Okasha Abbad (Muslim Brotherhood candidate in 2005 legislative elections for Mazghouna).

-Khaled Abul Magd (free business).

-Gamal Al-Ashri (Muslim Brotherhood candidate in 2005 legislative elections for Boulaq Al-Dakrour constituency).

-Mohamed Farouk (from Talibiya).


Also, the state security prosecution released one and prolonged the release of 9 other Muslim Brotherhood members in Al Fayum, south of Cairo.


It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian security services launched a crackdown on Thursday dawn Feb. 15, 2007 against the Muslim Brotherhood, arresting dozens from several governorates, including Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Sharqiya, Gharbiya, Monofiya, Al Fayyum, Behera and Al-Qalyubia; the detainees include previous MB candidates in 2005 legislative elections in addition to office managers of current Muslim Brotherhood MPs.
