Jordan: IAF Launches Political Reform Initiative
The Islamic Action Front (IAF) Party has prepared a national draft initiative aiming to get out of the current political crisis in Jordan, said IAF first deputy Secretary-General Rahil Al Ghraeba. Al Ghraeba confirmed that the completed draft initiative is directed to official and popular parties, but it hasn”t been released yet.
Asked about the initiative, Zaki Bin Arshid, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Action Front Party, said: “The IAF party presents an initiative for political reform in Jordan through which we show our view towards handling the current political situation, aiming to rach a real political reform that takes place through constitutional amendments and legislative reforms in the first place. We also aim target a popular participation in the decision-making process.
“The initiative is still under preparation up to this moment. Thus, we are yet to know reactions of popular or national powers. Its final wording hasn”t been made public to have a a popular discussion”, added Bin Arshid.
