Junta Interior Ministry Tortures President Morsi’s Finance Minister Adviser

Mohamed Shehata, brother of Dr. Abdullah Shehata (Economics Professor at Cairo University and Adviser to the Minister of Finance under President Mohamed Morsi), said junta militias recorded confessions extracted from his brother – under severe torture – for crimes he never committed.
"Dr. Shehata’s lawyer affirmed that coup security personnel tortured my brother with electric shocks in order to video-tape forced confessions for fabricated crimes to incriminate him.
"Dr. Shehata was not allowed any visits at all. He was not allowed to see even his lawyers."
He pointed that "Dr. Shehata was interviewed Thursday by prosecutors in the east of Cairo. The head of the prosecution department refused Dr. Shehata’s lawyer his right to see details of the investigation or take a copy of the same".
