Justice Bashri: New Egypt Constitution Achieves Balance of Powers

In a statement, Justice Tariq Bashri, the constitutional scholar, confirmed that President Mohamed Morsi has put on the spot rivals who rejected dialogue with him to get out of the current crisis in the Egyptian political arena.
"The president has frozen the constitutional declaration to which they so strongly objected. He recurs to constitutional texts approved by popular will in the March 19, 2011 referendum, which states that the draft constitution must be put to a referendum as soon as it is completed and within a period not exceeding 15 days.
"The Constituent Assembly (charter-writing panel) is completely legitimate. It was elected on a sound basis. It made ??a tremendous effort, and produced a great Constitution, worthy of all Egyptians to close ranks behind in order to get beyond the current crises. The Constitution took into account the distribution of powers in a democratic balanced way. It also clearly details the rights of all citizens.
Earlier, Bashri objected to the former Constitutional Declaration. At the time, all satellite TV channels affiliated with the corrupt former regime raced to report his objection. But now they totally ignore his statement in which he welcomes the new constitutional declaration.
