Katatny Calls on SCAF to Set Dates for Presidential Elections

Katatny Calls on SCAF to Set Dates for Presidential Elections
Secretary General for the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), Dr. Saad Katatny, called on the military council (SCAF) to announce a date for the handing over of power to a civilian elected authority and to propose a date for the presidential elections.
Based on SCAF’s vow to protect the revolution and the people’s acknowledging it as only a temporary governing authority, Katatny stated that SCAF must keep its promise to hand over power to civilians. This will only be attainable once a timeline is scheduled and dates set as soon as possible for the drafting of the constitution and the presidential elections following the parliamentary elections scheduled for late November.
