Posting this from the margins of day one of an all-day two-day closed workshop, so no time for links or detail.
I”ve received emails from several people in Egypt that Khaled Hamza, webmaster for the English-language Ikhwanweb site, has been arrested by the Egyptian security forces.
Khaled, aside from being a wonderful person, has been a leading voice for moderation and engagement for the Muslim Brotherhood youth – a key figure in the MB blogging trend that I wrote about last fall.
I hope that his arrest gets the attention that it deserves and that he is soon released, and that he”ll get support from those who hope that Islamism can evolve in a hopeful direction
