Khatib: The perils threatening J’lem would have adverse results on Arab states

Sheikh Kamal Al-Khatib, the deputy head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied lands, warned that the dangers which keep threatening occupied Jerusalem would result in repercussions on the domestic policies of all Arab countries.

“In my opinion, this would constitute a negative stage affecting the stability of these regimes and this is not what we want and hope, Sheikh Khatib underlined in an interview conducted by Islam online website.

The Islamic Movement official also warned that the Zionist attacks on the Aqsa Mosque had intensified and the judaization schemes had accelerated, noting that many Jewish rabbis issued religious orders inciting Jews to be present in abundance in the Aqsa yards.

He added that those rabbis allege that there are prophecies talking about the emergence of their eternal prophet between 2009 and 2010 after the demolition of the Aqsa Mosque and the building of their alleged temple.

The Palestinian official stated that the extremist government of Benjamin Netanyahu contributed significantly to the growth of the Zionist attacks on the Aqsa Mosque because there is a harmony between the political vision of this government and the religious ideology, asserting that the Jewish religious groups gained a political cover in the Knesset, the government and the security cabinet.

The official pointed out that the Zionist strategy for dealing with the issue of Jerusalem did not change, but Netanyahu government blatantly states its rejection of dividing Jerusalem between Israelis and the Palestinians which deals a blow to the PA negotiator who has kept talking about Jerusalem in the final status negotiations.

In a related context, Sheikh Abdelmajid Al-Zindani, a noted Yemeni scholar, on Monday urged the Muslim scholars to stand united in the face of the Zionist schemes that are aimed to demolish the Aqsa Mosque, highlighting that the defense of the holy Mosque would be the greatest challenge to the Muslim Ummah (Nation) and a turning point in the history of the Arab conflict with the Zionists.

Sheikh Zindani told the Aqsa satellite channel that the demolition of the holy Mosque is a serious issue targeting the Muslim Nation”s honor and dignity and threatening primarily the leaders of this Nation.

The Yemeni scholar held the Arab leaders fully responsible for the humiliation and disgrace that beset the Nation, calling on these leaders to get rid of the obstacles that stand in their ways and to be united in points of convergence.

The scholar stressed the need for forming a unified Arab union so that the Nation could be strong and able to deter the Zionists from demolishing the holy Mosque.
