Khudari asks for practical steps to end the siege

GAZA, — MP Jamal Al-Khudari, the head of the popular committee against the siege, has urged the international officials who call for ending the siege on Gaza Strip to turn their words into deeds.

Khudari in a press release on Thursday said that practical steps on the ground should be made to end the siege and open the crossings.

The MP was commenting on a statement for Philip Lazarini, Head of Office for Coordinating Humanitarian Aid-OCHA, that the humanitarian situation in Gaza constituted a crisis for human dignity.

He said that the statement described the situation in Gaza but did not offer any concrete solutions, questioning the UN steps in face of such a deteriorating humanitarian crisis.

The European statements reflect the international impotency in face of the Israeli siege, Khudari underlined.
