Lawyers criticize Nasr and his group’s 15-day extension order.

Top defense lawyer Abdul Monem Abdul Maqsud expressed disappointment on Tuesday at the renewed detention of 11 leading MB leaders from the Beheira governorate which included Dr. Ossama Nasr from the Executive Bureau
In a statement to “Ikhwanweb” he stressed that “The return to custody of political detainees further highlights the reform needed in the judicial sector in addition to other fields in Egypt, especially in light of the fact that there is no tangible evidence to the host of accusations in which my clients are charged with.”
The entire group abstained from commenting or issuing statements to prosecutors on the grounds that the allegations were baseless and without meaning. The renewal was a 15-day detention order, however it is expected that Abdul Maqsud will file an appeal scheduled to be held in the next few days
