MB: We Are with the People’s Will Regardless of the Referendum’s Outcome

Media spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood Dr. Essam El-Erian has affirmed that the Egyptian people have the right to freely take their decision and the MB is committed to respect the results of the referendum, regardless of its outcome.
The referendum on constitutional amendments began on Saturday, March 19, 2011 amid increasing competition from supporters and opponents.
In a statement to "Ikhwanweb", El-Erian noted that the results of the referendum will certainly be channeled in the interest of Egyptians, especially with the increase in voter turnout.
MB Shura Council member Gamal Heshmat said the referendum makes people regain their right to vote and this is welcome and the MB has been wishing for this to happen for a long time."
This comes at a time when Muslim Brotherhood chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie stated in a press conference that the group was committed to respect the referendum’s results, regardless of its outcome and will land on the people’s willingness because the Egyptians are the ones who have the authority to choose and no one can force the free people of Egypt to do anything.
