MB Chairman: We Will Pursue Systematic Election Fraud in Key Domestic and International Forums

Dr Mohammed Badie, chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), praised the turnout of Egyptians regardless of their choices, describing it as the beginning of real change and desired reform.

Badie urged all who witnessed falsifying results for the NDP to announce it publicly, pointing out that the Brotherhood has compiled reports about buying votes, arresting the opposition, and abuses and violations that took place in the polls.

In his speech to the Egyptian people through the Muslim Brotherhood's "The Voice of Egypt", Badie stated that the Muslim Brotherhood's decision to run for parliament to expose the regime has borne fruit before our very eyes. He indicated that Mubarak's regime could not benefit from any advice given to them by the Muslim Brotherhood and they have tarnished the reputation of Egypt.

Badie stressed that the Brotherhood will not tolerate this, and will uncover voting irregularities to the world press as well as local and global legal institutions, indicating that the Brotherhood shall remain steadfast on national constants and will conquer the state of injustice, corruption and tyranny.
Dr Badie added: "The Brotherhood will continue on its way using every possible means and will not adopt violent methods to press their demands."

He also explained that the Muslim Brotherhood calls for reform and they adopt an efficient long-term reform program, noting that today's election is a conflict between truth and falsehood.
Badie added: "The MB insists on international exposure of the regime and will not abandon our right and we will stand in the face of injustice. We emerged victorious in Sunday's legislative elections regardless of the results and will not pay attention to those who do mischief in the land."

Ballot stuffing, bullying and illegitimate ploys clouded a legislative election in Egypt on Sunday in which the ruling party insisted on preventing the Muslim Brotherhood, Mubarak’s main rival, from repeating their 2005 success, something that was monitored and supported by video and audio evidence.

The MB chairman addressed MB members, saying: "Regardless of the results I do not think they portend a lot in dealing with the future and you should not leave your positions as all your goals including contesting in the polls have almost been achieved at a time when National Party candidates could not attract the scores behind them and were forced to use misleading and deliberate lying and manipulation."

He continued: "If the results were in our favour, we give thanks to Allah, and if they were rigged, proclaim "Allah is enough for us and an excellent guardian", demanding the Egyptian judiciary to attain the stated goals of equal justice."

Badie noted that it has become clear that the Muslim Brotherhood's decision to take part in the upcoming People's Assembly elections is fruitful, stressing that they will continue to prosecute criminals and their partners at local and International forums.
