MB Chairman Celebrates with Labour Movement Activists
Dr. Mohamed Badie chairman for the Muslim Brotherhood will be participating in a celebration scheduled Sunday May 8, to honour a number of labour movement activists both living and departed who played a significant role in defending workers’ rights in the past years.
The event to be held at the Azhar Conference Hall in Nasr City is expected to honour, pay tribute and recognise the efforts of the activists including the leftist lawyer Nabil El-Helaly who passed away in 2005 and Ahmed Assayed, a socialist activist who died just days following the fall of former president Hosni Mubarak and his regime.
Other MB senior members who will be participating in honouring those who contributed a significant role over the past years in supporting the issues and the rights of workers include Saad el Husseini from the MB Executive Bureau, Atef Samary,and Yousry Bayoumi.
Also recognised for his efforts is Khaled Ali, a labour lawyer with the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights.
