MB Chairman Offers Condolences to Palestinians
Muslim Brotherhood Chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie offered condolences to the Muslim world in general and the Palestinians in particular following the death of Sheik Mohamed Hassan Shamaa.
Shamaa who died at 76, of a stroke on Friday, was the founder of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. He was regarded for decades as an influential but low profile figure at the helm of the organization and was renowned for his exceptional ability to listen and dispense sound wisdom.
Shamaa’s funeral was held at Gaza’s biggest mosque after Friday prayers with the participation of top Hamas leaders, including Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
