MB chairman wishes Mubarak safe homecoming and speedy recovery

Dr Mohamed Badie chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood extended warm wishes to President Mohamed Hosny Mubarak who underwent gall-bladder surgery earlier this month. Badie wished him a safe homecoming from Germany.
He commented on the MB stance with the upcoming parliamentary, and presidential elections stressing that the movement welcomed the idea of the nomination of candidates according to the legitimate channels. Moreover it is imperative that elections be free, fair, and transparent. He added that the Movement respected the people’s decision in choosing their leaders and representatives hence the significance of their call that elections be characterized with integrity.
The Movement’s members including 5 members from the Executive Bureau have been rounded up recently by the state security apparatus with rising numbers detained incommunicado. “These arbitrary arrests and rumors are attempts to tarnish the reputation of the Brotherhood, in a revengeful vendetta against the group furthermore the group have not engaged in any agreements with the NDP.
