MB Delegation Meets with Ghad Party and NAC to Discuss Poll Irregularities and Next Phase

The Muslim Brotherhood held meetings on Wednesday with political opposition factions to discuss violations witnessed during the parliamentary polls held last week. MB chairman, Dr. Mohamed Badie, met with Dr. Ayman Nour, founder of the Ghad Party.

The delegation discussed the necessary steps to expose the regime and the abuse of its authority that were manifested in violations during the polls. Other topics discussed were methods to strengthen the opposition’s unity on common ground, on advocating political reform through peaceful methods.

 The meeting was attended by members of the Executive Bureau including media spokesmen for the group Dr. Mohamed Morsi, Dr. Essam El Erian and Dr. Mohamed Saad Ketatni

The MB delegation also met with Dr. Abdul-Galil Mustafa, General Coordinator of the National Assembly, and Dr. Hassan Nafaa, as well as the former general coordinator of the National Assembly. The group also voiced their concern regarding irregularities witnessed during the poll and the breaches to the constitution concerning freedom of speech.

The opposition highlighted that such things are unacceptable and that they regarded the parliament, which does not reflect the will of the nation, as invalid
Steps to be taken in the upcoming period were also discussed by the group.
