MB Demands Immediate Release of Foreign Journalists Held In Gaza

Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood issued a strong statement condemning the kidnaping of journalists and media personnel and demanded the immediate release of the Abducted Fox news American journalist Steve Centanni and New Zealand cameraman Olaf Wiigof two foreign journalists held in Gaza by an unknown Palestinian group.
Mr. Khayrat Al Shatter, the Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood stated to Ikhwanweb that abducting foreign media personnel is an unjustfied action which constitutes a serious threat to journalists trying to transmit the truth to the world.
He also reaffirmed the Muslim Brotherhood’s rejection of all forms of violence against civilians who are not involved in any hostile actions against the Palestinians.
Mr. Al Shatter stated that Islam guarantees the safety of foreign citizens nonetheless those who are helping the Palestinian people by making their voice of suffering heard loud and clear around the world.
He added that the Palestinian people were in dire need of all journalists, especially the foreigners, to inform the world on the Israeli occupation’s streak of murder and destruction in the Palestinian lands.
