MB Deputy: Anti-MB, gov’t funded TV series ‘The Group’ mere propaganda

The Muslim Brotherhood’s Deputy, Dr. Mahmoud Ezzat, asserted that the anti-MB TV series ‘The Group’ will not have the public impact anticipated by the regime. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Dr. Ezzat explained that the MB coexists with the people who have come to learn of their manners and their methods and no drama fiction stories or plot will affect their judgement.

He maintained that the people were more intelligent than to believe the farce presented through the series which depicted the state security department as courteous and caring for the detainees’ good will. In all reality, the security apparatus and its regime has demonstrated a complete  lack of compassion and respect, where they continue detaining MB members such as Eng Khairat el Shater the MBs deputy chairman and his companions who were denied release despite numerous court acquittals.

Concerning the upcoming parliamentary elections Ezzat confirmed that the MB’s position is clear and explicit, and that they will participate once other political opposition parties reach consensus.
