MB describes TV series as defaming

Seif El Islam el-Banna the son of Hassan el-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood movement, ascertained that he had received many offers both from Egypt and abroad to produce an international movie looking at the movement’s history.

He criticised the TV series “El Gamaa” written by Wahid Hamed and scheduled to air in Ramadan asserting that the group will stand against the unfounded allegations they witnessed in the TV series.  He objected to Hamed’s attempts to tarnish the image of el-Banna claiming that it angered Brotherhood supporters around the world to accuse the group of promoting violence. The group is currently preparing documented archives concentrating on the group’s history which was established in 1928 to challenge the series; they will present a copy to Hamed so that he can learn about the true history of the group.
