MB issues statement addressing the current targeting of its members
A statement by the Muslim Brotherhood group has been issued explaining the current situation in Egypt after the MB announced their intentions regarding the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The MB addresses the country’s academics, scholars and intellectuals and any individuals interested in Egypt ‘s wellbeing to unite and stand against the corruptive scheming of the regime.
It calls on all to condemn the actions and defend the little reputation the country has left from the continued repression, oppression and violation of the people’s freedoms and to address the unjust arbitrary arrests against the MBs members and political opposition.
It added with the approaching elections the MB is facing escalating tyranny asserting that to date over 164 MB members and leaders have been arrested with close to 90 businesses and establishments also belonging to the MB have been ransacked, and shut down.
