MB Lawyers Will Not Run for Syndicate President
Muslim Brotherhood lawyer Abdul Monem Abdul Maqsoud stated that lawyers afilliated with the group will not compete for the syndicate’s president position in the upcoming elections
“We are hoping to form a joint list which will consist of candidates from all political parties and trends”, he said.
Abdul Maqsoud stressed that the main objective now is to revive the syndicate’s role in society, and protect the legitimate rights of the Egyptian people.
“The MB lawyers have not decided yet on who they will votr for as chairperson for the syndicate, as they are waiting to study the proposed agendas of each candidate,” he explained.
“We are keeping an open-minded approach, and prepared to work with all political factions for the development and progress of the country and the success of the democratic process.” he concluded
