MB Leader: Egypt Gov’t Exerts Pressure to Prevent National Coalitions
MB leader Ali Abdel Fattah accused the Egyptian government of seeking to prevent the formation of strong national coalitions between the opposition forces and political parties through pressure. The relation between the Muslim Brotherhood and different parties is based on respect and stimulating common areas of agreement, especially in the issue of political reform, he told Ikhwanweb.
He said that talk on electoral alliances is untimely, since nobody can anticipate the form of the next Political Rights Law. He welcomed any cooperation between the national Egyptian powers.
He added that MB has good relations with other parties, and is keen on keeping such cordial relations. Sending congratulations on feasts and other occasions is a constant habit of the Muslim Brotherhood, contrary to the speculations of some papers, he added.
