MB media spokesman: “The Judiciary Will Decide on the Next Parliament as Being Void

Dr. Mohamed Morsy, media spokesman and member of the executive bureau of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), stressed that the judiciary will rule against the next parliament as being void, especially since it ruled more than half of its seats as void during the runoff.

In an interview on the BBC, Dr. Morsy pointed out that the government does not respect the judiciary or its rulings.

Dr. Morsy also stressed that the decision to participate during the first round and boycotting the second round deprives the government of its legitimacy and revealed its lack of respect and commitment to the laws and the Constitution as well as its disrespect of the public will.

He explained that the MB participated in the elections for the best interests of Egypt and Egyptians and has withdrawn in order not to take part in rigging the will of the people and also not to participate in legally void elections.

Dr. Morsy noted that the MB will participate in any upcoming elections, but the decision to withdraw from these elections was an objection to widespread frauds in the elections by the National Democratic Party and its security bodies.
