MB MP: We do not call for revolutions and believe only in peaceful change

MP Sobhi Saleh, Assistant Secretary General of the Muslim Brotherhood Parliamentary bloc, was shocked at the news published in the Egyptian newspaper al-Masry al-Youm and Rose al yousef which accused him of calling for a mass revolution similar to that of the Islamic Revolution in Iran .

In his statement to Ikhwanweb, Saleh ascertained that the MB does not believe in revolutions or violence, in fact they support only peaceful and legal channels for change to combat the widespread corruption and tyranny in Egypt .

He pointed out that although numerous public opinion movements had been successful in bringing changes with the tyrannical regimes of Sudan , Iran and many other countries, he never called on the Egyptian people to follow or apply the model of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Saleh called on the Egyptian newspapers to work according to the regulations and ethics of journalism and to apply accuracy to their articles especially those related to the MB. He claimed that the MB will always bet on the public will and the peaceful change of the public opinion. Saleh added that there was a great effort by some to manipulate the public and change facts to distort the MB’s image especially with the parliamentary elections approaching.
