MB MP attributes lack of appropriate protection of Egypt’s football fans to foreign ministry.
Mustafa Mohamed member of the Muslim Brotherhood Parliamentary bloc submitted an urgent questioning to Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit with regards to the deplorable incidents that took place in Sudan with regards to the Football match between Egypt and Algiers.
Mohamed stressed that the Ministry failed to protect its expatriates both in Algiers and Sudan and also demonstrated lack of foresight in conducting necessary measures to protect fans who travelled to Sudan to support the players. Egyptians were attacked harassed and humiliated after the match by Algerians where some claimed that their lives were in danger.
The question submitted by the deputy demands an outline of steps taken by the Ministry prior to and after the football match.
