MB MP demands urgent information regarding 5 MB detainees’ torture.
Dr Hamdy Zahran of the Muslim Brotherhood Parliamentary bloc submitted a request for information to the Chairman of the people’s assembly and Interior Minister Habib Aladly with regards to the torture incidents of 5 members of the Muslim Brotherhood Movement who were arrested from Beni Suef. The detainees faced numerous forms of torture both verbal and physical including beating and electrocution.
Zahran stressed that the inhumane treatment which the detainees suffered by the security agents and police officials are a clear indication of the continuing injustices and violations of human rights which completely contradict the constitution. These unjust measures are of no benefit to the governorate nor will they help solving the problems in Beni Suef.
