MB Opposes Monopoly Over Nuclear Technology

In his reaction to the world outcry to the North Korean nuclear testing, Dr. Mohamed Habib, First Deputy Chairman of the MB stated that North Korea, or any other country in that regard, should have the right to obtain nuclear technology or even nuclear arms for deterrence, especially if it is being threaten by another nuclear country.

Dr. Habib reiterated the MB stance on nuclear arm race calling for a universal mechanism to abolish nuclear weapons and all weapons of mass destruction throughout the world, not to make them exclusive for certain countries which abuse their power to bully other countries.

Dr. Habib criticized the US and the UN positions towards North Korea or Iran, while a country like Israel is shrouding its nuclear program with myths and does not even allow UN inspectors into its nuclear facilities or discloses the number of nuclear warheads at its disposal.
