MB Parliamentary Bloc: The Release of Ayman Nour is a Step in the Right Path

The Parliamentary bloc of the MB, in a statement which Ikhwaweb had a copy of, has welcomed the release of Dr. Ayman Nour (Leader of Al-Ghad opposition party) and described the release as a step in the right pat for a political openness in Egypt which would ease the severe political tension in the Egyptian street.


The Parliamentary bloc, in this occasion, called for the release of all political and conscience prisoners and particulalry the ones who had a military tribunals such as Khayrat El Shater and his colleagues, as well as Magdy Hussein and his companions and to close the file of the political prisoners.


Dr. Mohamed Katatny (Chairman of the MB Parliamentary Bloc), in a press release, has expressed his wishes for Nour for a new national, political and active stage.


It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian authorities has said that the release of Ayman Nour is due to health issues.


This release comes after four years of imprisonment on charges of forgery as he took the second place, after President Husni Mubarak, in the election of the presidency in Egypt after winning 8% of the votes on September 2005.
