MB Pays Tribute to Labour Activists

A celebration is scheduled Sunday May 8, to honour a number of labour movement activists both living and departed who played a significant role in defending workers’ rights in the past years.
The event held by the Muslim Brotherhood is expected to honour, pay tribute and recognise the efforts of the activists including the leftist lawyer Nabil El-Helaly who passed away in 2005 and Ahmed Assayed, a socialist activist who died just days following the fall of former president Hosni Mubarak and his regime.
Also recognised for his efforts is Khaled Ali, a labour lawyer with the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights.
Ahmed El-Borai, Minister of manpower is expected to attend the celebration.
