MB Statements Confined to Appointed Media Officials
Media spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood Dr. Mohamed Morsy notes that the group has issued a statement highlighting that its views and stances are expressed solely by the group’s chairman, two deputies and three official media spokesmen.
On this note, the group confirms that as always it believes in freedom of expression and freedom to form a political party. In the past the group was prevented from forming a party since any documents had to pass through a committee controlled by the former ruling National Democratic Party.
The MB confirms that once the people’s demands are met concerning freedom to form political parties the group will apply to become an official political party through legitimate channels.
