MB Students Protest Thugs Assaulting Professors

Cairo’s Ain Shams University witnessed demonstrations by hundreds of students affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood.

The demonstration was organized in protest to the hired thugs who assaulted university professors after they held rallies calling for the removal of Interior Ministry appointed campus guards.

The students hoped they could send a message that the assaults, harassments and threat to the professors – regardless of their political views – constituted a red line which should not be crossed. Security forces prevented the demonstrators from taking to the streets.

The students ascertained that the report submitted earlier by the university’s administration was incorrect, arguing that their professors were the victims, not the aggressors.
