MB to participate in Friday’s Victory celebrations

The Muslim brotherhood has stated that it will participate in the celebrations scheduled for Friday with thousands of others to commend the people’s successful Revolution.

Thousands of Egyptians are set to gather in Tahrir Square to celebrate their success in ousting Mubarak who had ruled Egypt for 30 years, and was forced to step down last week after 18 days of nationwide massive protests against his 30-year dictatorial regime.

Military rulers are pressured to form an interim presidential council to run the country until elections are held.

On Tuesday, the military, which took power from Mubarak, pledged to hand over power to an elected government in six months.

Yusuf Qaradawi, the present of the International Union for Muslim Scholars will address the celebrators on the importance of the role of all Egyptians in building a free and democratic Egypt.

After Mubarak’s ouster, Egyptians of all walks including members of the Muslim Brotherhood have joined in the cleaning up Tahrir Square.
