MB to Participate in July 8 Protests
Following discussions over former decisions to not take part, the Muslim Brotherhood has confirmed that it will participate with the people in Tahrir Square in the July 8 protest.
With the wellbeing of Egypt and its citizens in mind the MB decision comes as Egyptians’ anger swells over the handling of a promised transition to democracy, the continued military trials of civilians and the continued presence of police officials responsible for repression before and during the revolt. Furthermore the protestors demand those found guilty of corruption including the ousted Mubarak, his family and henchmen be brought to justice in addition to a swift end to the repressive methods of the old regime.
