Minister Mansi appeals for saving Sheikh Jarrah area from Judaization
Palestinian minister of public works and housing Yousuf Al-Mansi appealed to the Arab and Muslim worlds, and the international community to intervene to save the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem from Judaization and settlement activities.
In a press release on Monday, Mansi warned of the seriousness of Israeli intentions to build 200 settlement outposts inside the Arab neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah and slammed the international silence on Israel’s settlement plans in Jerusalem, especially its attempt to turn this neighborhood into a Jewish one.
He stressed the need for confronting Israel’s schemes that are aimed at uprooting the Jerusalemite people from this neighborhood and changing the demographic map of the holy city.
“We are facing today serious settlement schemes supported by Zionist Jewish organizations around the world and intended for stealing the real estate of Jerusalemite citizens,” the minister added.
