Mishaal calls Abbas, stresses political partnership
The Hamas Movement’s political bureau chairman, Khaled Mishaal, on Thursday made a phone call with the PA chief, Mahmoud Abbas, during which he affirmed that the PLC polls conducted Wednesday across the PA-controlled lands represented a landmark victory for the Palestinian people, a press release, issued by Hamas’ media office, said.
According to the statement, Mishaal pointed out that Hamas was very much keen on making consultations with Fatah officials in order to reach a consensus on arranging the Palestinian home.
He highlighted that the Islamic group would exert substantive efforts to enhance political partnership with all Palestinian resistance groups, mainly Fatah.
The Hamas’ top political leader finally expressed his utmost gratitude to Abbas for the good offices he made in order to make the electoral process a success.
