Morsi Campaign Refutes Media Lies and Fabricated News
Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Aati, General Coordinator of Dr. Mohamed Morsi’s presidential campaign, refuted the false report published as news by journalist Mohamed Haggag on Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper website (youm7.com) under the title "First pictures of Morsi’s operations room". Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Aati says as follows:
1 – He did not make any statements to Al-Youm Al-Sabea, and never allowed anyone from the website to enter the campaign headquarters or the operations or activities management rooms.
2 – The published photographs were taken without permission; and they do not depict any campaign operation rooms, but a room for news watching at the campaign’s headquarters.
3 – He did not speak with any media outlet about army officers voting, nor did he make any mention of them in any way whatsoever.
Further, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Aati urges all media outlets to refrain from fabricating false fables and ‘news’ about public figures and institutions, especially in light of the sensitive times through which the country is now going.
