Morsi Congratulates Ayman Nur On His Release, Wishes Same For All Oppressed

In a statement to Ikhwanweb, Member of the MB Executive Bureau Dr. Mohamed Morsi congratulated Ghad (Tomorrow) Party Leader Dr. Ayman Nur on his release calling on him to continue in his reform efforts regardless of the Egyptian regime”s reactions.

Morsi also wished for all the oppressed that their rights be fully restored, especially those whose rights were flagrantly violated such as MB Vice-Chair Khayrat El-Shater and his brothers as well as Labor Party Secretary General Magdy Hussein who were transferred to military trials despite their being civilians, considering the act a crime against humans.

“There is no doubt that respecting human rights and a just judicature must take their course with citizens.  As for urgent military trials, they are a belittlement of human rights especially in civil cases,” Morsi added.

Morsi further called on unleashing the liberties of thought, belief, and expression accusing the Egyptian regime of continuously violating these rights.

Worthy mentioning is the Egyptian authorities” release of the opposition figure Ayman Nur “for health reasons” after around four years of jail on charges of forging the Ghad party”s warrants. Nur was also runner-up in the September 2005 presidential elections following President Hosni Mubarak and earning 8% of the votes.
