Morsy: 8 MB candidates so far in Shura elections
Dr Mohamed Morsy media spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood maintained that the group has succeeded so far in submitting 8 applications for nominations in the upcoming Shura elections.
The group’s executive member asserted in a statement to “Ikhwanweb” that 6 more members are expected to submit their forms Saturday. The members had attempted to hand in their forms however officials had placed obstacles preventing their papers from being accepted.
Morsy added that details published in the state owned Ahram papers regarding papers presented by Alexandria ‘s Dr. Azab Mustafa, where officials refused to accept his papers on the grounds that they were missing documents were incorrect. Executives turned down his papers numerous times in what seemed to be orders from a higher office. Morsy urged media to be accurate in relaying news and to revise their details.
He asserted that the MB will continue in handing in their forms and will not be deterred from participating in the elections regardless of measures practiced by any officials.
